Customising Invoice lines for a Project

This article provides a guide on customizing how labor lines for project work appear on invoices. It explains the options available under 'Grouping for Invoice lines (Project)' in the billing configuration. These include options like no grouping, grouping by ticket, rate, and day, grouping by ticket and rate, or by project with lines for each budget type. The choice of grouping should consider whether customers are invoiced per ticket or collectively. The setting 'Invoice each Ticket separately' determines billing per ticket or for all labor on the same invoice.

Milestones

The article provides a comprehensive guide on managing project milestones using Halo. It covers how to enable and configure the Milestones tab for Ticket types, add new milestones with sequence, dates, and dependencies, and manage locked tasks. It also explains configuring column profiles for milestones, updating milestone dates, and linking child tickets to milestones. Additional topics include using ticket templates to add milestones and controlling modifications. The guide emphasizes efficient tracking of projects by associating tasks with specific milestones and adjusting settings to automate scheduling.

Planning and Forecasting

The article provides a guide on planning and forecasting within a timesheet module. It details how the Planning Screen helps assess agent availability based on appointments, using color-coded percentages. Forecasting involves allocating project time per agent, calculated automatically with the auto-estimate feature from version 2.214.1 onwards. The guide also covers enabling forecasting on specific ticket types, automatic calculation based on project tasks' start and end dates, and configuring percentage thresholds for color-coded alerts in planning and forecasting screens.

Project Billing - Budget Types vs Charge Types

This article explains how to bill projects using Charge Types, Budget Types, or a combination of both. For Charge Types, labor is billed using predefined rates, which are linked to budget types for accurate billing. Budget Types allow different rates for specific projects and are more flexible, enabling changes to billing rates during a project. A combination of both types can be used when specific tasks need different billing methods. The guide includes detailed setup instructions and examples for each method to ensure accurate project billing.

Project Billing - Milestone Billing

This article explains milestone billing in project management using the Halo platform. Milestone billing allows project work to be billed based on completed project phases instead of the entire project. The guide covers how to enable milestone billing, create and bill milestones by their value or completed actions, and handle deprecated functionalities. It includes steps to configure project tickets for milestones, set billing types, and calculate milestone values as a percentage of project price. Users can manually set milestone values or calculate them based on associated sales orders.

Project Billing - Time and Materials

This article provides a comprehensive guide for project billing using time and materials in HaloPSA. It includes steps for categorizing projects, setting up billing rules, and managing invoicing processes. The focus is on creating and restricting category values for project tickets, issuing products for project milestones, and invoicing sales orders by percentage. An update highlights improved project loading times when selecting the new method introduced in version 2.204+. The article aims to ensure efficient and accurate billing for completed projects.

Project Hierarchies

This guide outlines project hierarchies, explaining how they classify tickets as either 'Project' or 'Project Task.' The hierarchy determines organization and billing processes in project management. 'Project' tickets are higher in billing precedence, affecting invoicing and how child tickets are grouped under tabs. Different tabs display child tickets based on their hierarchy, with projects under the 'Projects' tab and tasks under the 'Project Tasks' tab. Invoicing is structured so that a 'Project' ticket includes all associated task time, while 'Project Task' tickets handle their own invoicing separately.

Project Views

This guide provides comprehensive instructions on managing project views, including adjusting project and task views through Kanban and Gantt settings. It covers changing default child ticket options, setting Kanban statuses, viewing by locked and completed milestones, and utilizing the agent Gantt view. The article explains how to adjust targets, milestones, and re-assign tasks with quick options and the importance of the sequence feature for project tasks. Various visualization options are offered for efficient project management.

Tile and Kanban HTML $ Variables

This article provides a comprehensive list of variables that can be used with Tile HTML and Kanban HTML in ticket and sales module views. Users in the Configuration settings can utilize these variables by placing a dollar sign ($) in front of them, allowing for customized display options in column profiles for both tickets and sales.
