Google Mail Using SMTP error- The SMTP server requires a secure connection or the client was not authenticated.

When you encounter the following error with Gmail SMTP:

1. Log into the gmail account.
   
2. Click manage your google account
   
3. Click Security (safety if translated from another language)
   
4. Click access less secure apps 
5. Click allow less secure apps on  
   
6. Run a new test for the mail box and you should get the following:
